Market introduction

German carmaker Porsche launched the new Panamera at the beginning of 2021.

Variants

The sports tourer is available in four different variants – Panamera, Panamera GTS, Panamera Turbo S and Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid. However, Porsche sells two special editions of the Panamera as well – the Panamera 4 and the Panamera 4 10 Years Edition.

Engine and specifications

The Panamera gets a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine while the Panamera GTS, Panamera Turbo S and Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid get a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 petrol engine. All of them are mated to a PDK eight-speed automatic. Meanwhile, the Panamera Turbo E-hybrid also has a 17.9kWh battery which gives a range of 59km in pure electric mode.

Exterior 

The exterior of the classy Panamera carries Porsche’s signature design philosophy. There are four-point LED DRLs integrated into the headlamp unit. Porsche has also given matrix LED headlamps in the car with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). Besides, the front bumper has large air intakes and also dual-strip LED DRLs. At the back, there is a wide LED bar similar to the 911. The Panamera retains the adaptive spoiler too.

Interior and features 

Inside, the Panamera has a lavish cabin with leather upholstery for the seats. Additionally, there is an instrument with two seven-inch screens and an analogue rev counter between them. Porsche also offers a 12.3-inch central information display with Porsche Communication Management (PCM) and Porsche Car Connect (PCC). Apart from that, there is a 14-speaker Bose sound system, a wireless charging pad, electric-assist for the front seats with memory function and four-zone temperature control.

Safety

The Porsche Panamera gets 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, rear-wheel steering, ESP, LSD, front and rear parking sensors and reverse camera.
