Engine and specification

The BMW X6 is powered by 3.0-litre inline-six petrol that produces 335bhp/450Nm and is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Exterior

On the outside, the X6 gets its version of the signature Kidney-grille and for the first time, this grille gets an illumination function. The headlamps are redesigned as is the bumper. In profile, the sloping roofline makes the X6 stand out with its high haunches and sharp creases. The rear gets a sleek pair of tail lamps.

Interior and features

The cabin of the BMW X6 has been fitted with top-notch leather upholstery while the new addition for this generation is a glass-cut joystick in the centre console. The list of features includes multifunction seats with massage function, four-zone climate control, a digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, the latest version of the iDrive system with new connectivity options, and the Bowers and Wilkins 3D sound system. The 40:20:40 split rear seats of the X6 can be folded down to increase boot capacity from 580 to 1,530 litres.

The BMW X6 gets six airbags, TPMS, Forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, high beam assist, optional lane departure and blind spot detection, hill-hold and a traction control system.
